As a human rights organisation, FreshTies receives issues and trends from community level (see how we work). We are receiving calls from increasing numbers of family members worried and concerned about loved ones in care homes. An emerging trend concerns threatened, or, actual bans, on family members visiting a care home, simply because they made complaints. We have decided to make care and the elderly a special (ongoing) initiative of FreshTies.
Taking care of people who have given so much in life, or are most vulnerable, should be seen as a privilege to care for. Money is no excuse for inhuman treatment. Dignity is free to give.

View Care To Visit Campaign in a larger map Raising awareness of issues. There is no UK data on issues concerning care homes. We are doing that now. Read more: why collect data, and benefits. Hopefully, this map will encourage more families to see that they are not alone, and together more can be done. |
