Family of four found dead at home.

Two young girls were found dead with their parents at their Hampshire house this morning.

The children, aged one and two, had both been stabbed along with their woman, while the man was found hanged in the stairway. Neighbour Alayna Brooks ran into the house in Provost Street, Fordingbridge, as soon as she heard the girls’ grandmother scream after seeing the dead bodies.
The police were called at 1120 BST and the bodies were taken to the Royal County Hospital in Winchester where their post-mortem examinations will take place.

Mrs. Brooks, who described the family as “gorgeous”, said she loved them as neighbours and was not aware the family had any problems or financial worries.

She added: “I am really appalled and upset.”
The family was well-known in the local community and the couple had recently returned from a week-long trip to Weymouth in Dorset.

Acting Supt Gary Cooper, of Hampshire Police, said it was not yet possible to confirm it was the grandmother who found the bodies.

He added: “We believe it was a relative who came to the address this morning, and on entering they found four people dead.”

Police are still searching the property and a forensic examination will take place throughout the week.
